Wisbro PEX compatable with Manabloc?

I'm designing the plumbing for our new home. I would like to use PEX with the Vanguard Manabloc home run system. I have a good local supplier for Wisbro pipe and fittings, but none for Viega. I remember reading something about the compatability between wisbro pipe and the manabloc but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can Wisbro pipe be connected to the Manabloc somehow?

Are wisbro fittings good quality fittings?

If the wisbro won't work with the manabloc, I have no local suppliers for Viega products. Any internet supplier suggestions?

Yes wirsbo does have good fittings in my opinion and they come in plastic or brass. They also produce manifolds, I would stick to the same brand the whole way through.

pipe size has got to be exactly the same for both... I dont know why you cant,, but that would be your gamble....

Im running a Vanguard home run system as well. I bought the 24 port manifold ( 9 hot, 15 cold ) and Im using vanguard canpex. You can purchase it all online or get alot of info on it here

I have the manibloc mounted about 40" from the water heater, and I have it plumbed with 3/4 copper supply lines. You need to purchase 3 transition fittings for your main supply lines in and out of the manibloc. It is not pipe thread...its a special o-ring type transition. So all my main lines are 3/4 copper going in, then out to water tank, then back in with the hot. I kept mine very close to the water heater and all my pex runs are fairly short runs, except 2 hot lines to the second story bathroom. Im using the manibloc that has compression fittings on the manabloc and all my pex runs will be direct connect. very few fittings will be used...except your on -off pex valves at each fixture. The manabloc I installed has a 3/4 ball valve in the copper just before it enters the manabloc and another one where the cold enters the water heater. I like the copper as the main supplys for its ridgidness and the 1/2 pex suits my application in this century home upgrade as opposed to tearing walls apart.

For some reason I was fixated on the Manabloc and never researched the Wisbro manifolds. I'll just stick to Wisbro all the way through.

My supplier stated that in California, where I live, there is a new law that won't allow any lead in the fittings. Apparently the Wisbro brass fittings used to have a small amount of lead in them. He says there is a huge difference in quality of the fittings he bought before the law, and those purchased after. He says the new ones don't appear to be as heavy or durable.

Has anyone experienced this? Is this company wide, or only in California?

If it's only California, I may be looking to order the fittings from another state.
