I have a crappy American Standard toilet in my second floor that I would like to replace. It's a 2 piece 3.6gpf. This toilet require 2 flushes 9 out of 10 times for a #2. That is a lot of water I am wasting.

Not sure if I am doing the measurement wrong but I measure from the wall to the bolt and it's 11". Would that be my roughin? If it is, what can I do to get a 12" roughin toilet in there? I was thinking of getting the Eco Drake.

From wall, (not baseboard) to center of drain, in most cases the bolts.

The Drake works at 11"

You should see a big improvement.

I didn't know buying an Eco Drake is so difficult to find. I will probably just settle for the Drake 1.6gpf instead.

Terry,

Will the UltraMax work with an 11" roughin?

Is your measurement 11" from the wall or the baseboard?

If it is from the wall then you will be ok for the Ultramax because it is 12" from wall to center and then there is also a 3/4" gap built in from the back of the toilet to the wall as well.

If you push the toilet up to the wall you can rough in for 11-1/4"

if it is 11" from wall to bolts then you need either a toilet that has more then a 1" gap between the toilet and the wall like the Drake or a 10" rough in toilet and then you would have a 1-3/4" gap between the toilet and the wall.

10" Toto Drake toilets.
They only need 9-1/4" to install.

CST744EF.10 or CST744SF.10

Comfort height, elongated bowl with either the 1.28 gallon Watersense Eco Flush
or the 1.6 gallon G-Max flush.

Thanks Peanut. I guess it's back to the Drake 1.6gpf again. At least it's cheaper than the Ultramax so that is a good thing.
