Help please - no water!!!

Sorry to "shout" but I'm in a bit of a jam.

This is an old (shallow?) well system with a Myers HC Ejecto pump.

Turned on the shower and only a trickle came out. To make sure I didn't have a problem anywhere else, I disconnected the 1" outlet from the pump to check my flow. The flow was less than an old man peeing. It seemed fine yesterday. Pump and motor sound normal.

One thing odd I noticed was that the (newly replaced) pressure gage on the pump body jumps from 0 to 70 as soon as the pump kicks on.

Suggestions please.

Then shut off the pump, and the water past the pressure tank and drain the pressure tank and check the air pressure in it to be 2-1 psi less than the turn the pump on pressure switch setting. I.E. 30/50 (on/off) psi gets 29-28 psi air pressure with no water in the tank. This assumes a bladder type tank.
