Jimbo Plumber Messages 8,918 Reaction score 21 Points 0 Location San Diego, CA Sep 28, 2005 #2 Some brands do in fact put a restrictor in the outlet to the shower. It is to help insure that when in the "tub" mode no water goes up to the shower.
