As mentioned in another thread I am putting together a small closed loop hydronic system . The Taco circ pump I have purchased has a integral check. My system will have about 18" of head.
Should I remove the check in the pump?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of removing it?

Regards,

Chris

Without a checkvalve, when the pump is off, you'll still get circulation because of the difference in height and temperature. So, things could continue to get heat when you don't want it.
