We are trying to choose the right tub for our guest rooms. One plumber has recommended the Kohler Villager cast iron and one has recimmended a Toto acrylic. Which is the best? Acrylic or cast iron, Toto or Kohler?

Cast iron will vastly outlive acrylic. But the poor schmuck who has to lug the cast iron may not be so lucky! An intermediate choice is the Amer.Std. Americast. Similar to cast iron in qualities, but not nearly so heavy.
