Caulking question

Hi

I have a new Sterling bathtub installed which has a groove cut into the rim of one of the top edges of the tub. Presumably this is to catch water coming down the wall and aid drainage? Anyhow - my question is what to do with the caulk. Should I caulk up to each side of the groove, or fill the groove too?

You need to follow the installation instructions as to what and what not to caulk for that particular tub/wall set.
