there was a small screw that appears to have kept the handle on the stem but its gone and pretty well corroded. i tried pb blaster without luck. the cold side had the screw still in place and after removing it its just as stuck as the the hot. the spout has both price pfister stamped on it along with crane.

im trying to remove handles so i can rebuild the stems. any suggestions?

handle

That does not look like any PricePfister faucet I have ever seen. More likely a Crane/Repcal. A hammer type handle puller or tapping on the back of the handle with a small hammer are about the only ways to get it off.

Since there's no through hole on the handle, I don't see how either of the pullers shown would work with that handle. What would work?

your right about it being crane. spout has crane stamped on it. im not sure why i thought i read price pfister!

Heat and a leather glove will remove it also...but not to much heat...

got the cold handle off with a little work but the hot side appears to be frozen. i cant get it to move even slightly.

heat is the next step? anything else?

finally got the bugger off. took heat hammering heat hammering, ect. took a while! eventually started to move though.

thanks for help!
