Question for Alternety or anyone else .

I would like to buy a ss mesh prefilter for my maytag/ge homespring filter . I don't have a part # . Can anyone help me with a part # & price of the filter I'm looking for ? Thanks

I have the maytag mwf 3100 .

There are specific prefilters that fit inside the maytag/ge homespring filter . My filter has a carbon prefilter which I don't need . My manual lists a part # for the carbon prefilter but not for the stainless steel prefilter which you just take out & clean . Alternety said in another thread that he had replaced his carbon filter with the ss mesh filter which is what I want to do .
