I have just bought a house. I didn't realize it @ first but someone has stolen the pressure tank. They sawed it off. My brother just swiched to city water and said I could have his tank and pump. I am not sure what I need to install the tank. I am sure more pipe is needed. If anyone could help please reply.

Most pressure tanks today are installed with one pipe that serves as the inlet/outlet. This includes both bladder/diaphragm type tanks as well as the galvanized steel tanks.
Chances are that you'll be able to couple the tank right on where the thieves cut the pipe. If it's a bladder/diaphragm tank, you'll need to set the precharge air pressure to 2 psi less than pump cutin. (i.e. 28 psi for a 30/50 pressure switch setting).
