I need to change the Pressure Gauge on my well, can someone tell me how to do this? Is there a place where I can purchase, and what is the best type. Is there a standard size?

Thanks,

Steve

Sure you can do it yourself. In most cases the gauge will be a 2" gauge with a 1/4" male pipe thread. You want to turn off the pump first and let all pressure off the system first. Otherwise you won't need a shower for a while.

Most of the gauges you see on water systems in homes are of the 3 - 5 dollar range. They work for the installer to set things up then fail shortly there after. If you want a good liquid filled gauge you can spend a lot more than 3 - 5 dollars.

Speedbump, would I use Taflon tape? I never know when to use the stuff.

I purchased a 2.5 LM Liquid filled gauge 160 psi

thanks
