Every fixture should have it's own vent.
If you are adding fixtures without venting, then you will be sucking your traps dry, and pulling water from bowls.

line has not been connected to tub yet right now it is just capped off, there is a vent that is installed about 16 inches from the trap that heads up and connects to the same stack about 6 feet up from drain. That drain is same line that upstairs fixtures are on.
If the upstairs fixtures drain into the stack, then venting to the stack is not an option.

That is a possibility...if it has frosted closed it could cause problems.
You can disconnect and cap off the vent you installed and install an AAV on the vent in its place as long as when the bathroom is finished there is access to the AAV so it can be replaced when necessary.

As Terry said, you need to vent each trap/fixture. Wrapping it into the wet vent does not make it a vent, it makes it an alternate path for the waste from upstairs. You need to run that vent line higher up into where the line is above the fixtures above on the line. Code calls for 42" above the flood plane of the fixtures above. Look at the sample Terry posted. Ultimately, all of the vents tie into the one place, but that location is high up in the structure, above those drains above it.
