Moen faucet repair ??

I have a Moen kitchen faucet Model 87105 (it's not a posi-temp). It's dripping and instead of paying $25 for a new cartridge (part #1225) I think it's possible to just replace the two o-rings. Will that do it, or do I have to also replace the black rubber "wrap" on the upper part of the cartridge too?? They sell a kit with all those parts for a "posi-temp" but do they also sell such a kit for mine ?? I've googled and can't find one. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
 
The cartridge has a lifetime warranty so you don't need to buy another.
You can bring the cartridge to where you bought the faucet and they will exchange it or call Moen and they will send you out a new one.
"Posi-Temp" is for a tub and shower to regulate the temperature of the water , the kitchen faucet is just a regular cartridge #1225.

The three "O" rings you have to replace are inside the core, and if you are lucky you can do it in about an hour or so, assuming you can snake the old ones out and then get the new ones in, (the center one is on an angle so it gets interesting trying to fit it into place.)
 
There are 2 inner o-rings and 2 outer o-rings and 2 larger grommets on the bottom, all need to be replaced.

Part #92451 will do the trick, or call moen @ 1-88-289-6636 and tell them you need a repair kit for a 1225, or just ask for a 1225, it's easier than replacing all the o-rings, and it should take you NO where near an hour.....10 mins tops

I was thinking about the 1200 core, but the 1225 should also have an angled one to separate the hot and cold sides. The time consuming part is usually trying to remove the internal ones.
 
The inner stem on the 1225 is half-mooned in the mixing stage of the stem, so there are no diagonal o-rings.
 
Neither have I, but I've looked through the clear plastic housing and saw it.
