toto flush lever

I have to hold the lever down to complete the flush, just started happening, what broke?

Either it's the flapper or the chain from flapper to handle has too much slack.

Either take out the slack or replace the flapper.

Lift tank lid to see if you can figure out what it is.

If you have the side mounted lever, the white plastic behind the chrome may have cracked. The outside lever should move the brass rod with little pressure.
It can operate loosely however if that part cracks.
