    So how many layers of vinyl are we up to now? Plus a subfloor inbetween?
    All this on top of a beautiful hardwood floor.
    Rip it all out and just refinish the hardwood.

    Darn!!!! No such luck.


    My wife was getting excited at the thought there was hardwood floor underneath. I was not so thrilled thinking of the work ahead of me.

    We found this in another area.



    This is where the dishwasher used to sit.



    We are going to lay down the foam underlayment on top of this layer and start putting down the new flooring.

    It has been awhile since I posted here. Thought I would give an update to my kitchen remodel. I do not have the flooring installed and the counter top is scheduled to be installed this week.

    Had to open the walls for the new wiring and to find out where the old wiring went.
