We are in the process of having plumbing roughed in for our new home and I would love to have a steam shower but need to know exactly what needs to be plumbed for it and what to consider. I understand I need a drain and a water source. Help

A steam shower requires different things than a regular shower does...you need to tile the ceiling, you want a door with a transom, and it works better if there is a slope to the ceiling so you don't get cold drops on your head from condensation. Because of the high humidity, you need to be especially careful of waterproofing...the whole thing should be waterproofed. There are some very specific requirements about how they should be constructed. You'll want a "normal" showerhead in there too, and probably a seat. Suggest you look at Kerdi on www.schluter.com. Also, check out www.johnbridge.com. You need both power and water to the steam generator, and an access panel or closet to get to it as it will need service.
