I have a shower with a single tear drop shaped acrylic pull handle. I have a leak problem. When I push the handle in, water continues to leak from the faucet. Any suggestions?

Many faucets come with cartridges.
If yours is a Moen, you can remove the handle,
remove the tube behind the handle,
pull out the u-shapped clip
Remove the cartridge.

That fits the description, once I remove that, do I have to replace it with a new one?
