Hi-
I have a 1" supply from the street to my water meter. My water meter is actually 3/4". I wanted to run a 1" main from the meter to supply the rest of the house. I'm wondering if the 3/4" meter size will be a bottleneck? Is it still worth running 1" on the other side or do I need to upgrade the meter? Thanks.

Typical water services with a 3/4" meter are 1" and 1-1/4"

The 3/4" meter is hardly any restriction.

At 80 feet of developed length, the 3/4" line would give you 19 fixture units
compared to 36 fixture units if you ran a 1" line.
That's almost double the amount of availible water with the 1" line.
