I want to move my kitchen sink to the other side of the kitchen but don't know what to do with the drain the contractor I am working with says he could cut a trench thru the slad to put the drain line in. is this ok?

If your on a slab that very well may be the only way. Where is the bathroom in relation to the present location of the sink?

Do you think there is another route it could take? A drain must slope at least 1/4" per foot in order to drain, so unless there is another access to the sewer, you contractor may very well be correct.
