Default Best Enameled Cast Iron Tub? TOTO?

Who makes the best enameled cast iron tub?

I was wondering if TOTO is the best like their toilets.

I need a small tub (rectangular).

My tub measures 58 long by 30 inches wide from the tiled walls. It is about 13 inches tall. Not sure what standard size that is since I'm sure some of it goes longer into the wall behind the tile, and to the floor.

    Default tub

I think that you mean porcelain and not enamel.

Your tub is 60" long. The other 2" are in the wall area at each end of the tub.

    Default Cast Iron Tub

I guess I did mean porcelain...and 60 inches sounds right.

So who make the best cast iron tub?

    Talking they are all junk

if you dont go with a cast iron,
you are basically buying a cheap piece of tin junk

the best medium of the road tub to buy is the AMERICAST which is
sort of a porceline and cast polymer mix....

but if you want cheap and good ,
    get the STERLING tub which
    is made of plastic

it is by far the most durable tub the market by far...

I recently bought a Porcher. I don't claim to know a lot about the Porcher brand, but I know they were bought by American Standard, and they a European brand that is now being marketed as American Standard's higher end line. I have a very small bathroom, so I wanted a smaller iron tub than most manufacturers were carrying. I got a Porcher Ardennes drop-in-

    It cost aprox. $900.

You say you're shopping for quality and need a small size, which sounds exactly like my situation when I purchased. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. However, the pricing really floored me. You can buy cast-iron without paying premium pricing. There are more reasonably priced iron tubs. We found some off-the-shelf models at Home Depot that were just far too large for our space in the $300-ish price range.
