I have a manufactured adobe brick wall behind my gas burning stove. This wall is semicircle and stands alone, meaning, I can walk behind it. The brick has not been painted. The grout is 1/4" between the bricks. I would like to add more cement to this wall to make it appear like an old fireplace wall, with many coats of builtup adobe plaster, and then paint it to look like whitewash. I want all the edges of the brick to be covered in new cement and not show. I don't want to add chicken wire and use the stucco method. Please, advise me how to proceed with this project? Thank you for your suggestions and knowledge.
