Finished tiling new shower and installed shower arm. When to put escutcheon over the arm and it will not sit flush on tile because the horizontal part of the shower arm sticks to far into the wall. The part where the escutcheon sits is already in the upward curve of the shower arm. I neeed some kind of extension that will give me another 1/2 inch or so in my connection from shower arm to the pipe in the wall. Any body know if such a thing exhists. The only other option would be getting a larger escutcheon but its a decorative piece and I hate to have to find one

Sometimes the curved shower head pipe is longer from the bend on one end than the other, and can be reversed. Otherwise, go shopping for an arm that has a long enough extension for your needs.

Another possibility, if the hole in the tile is big enough, is to get a short 1/2" brass coupling and a 1/2" brass close nipple. Screw them together with the shower pipe and you will have about an extra inch.

Shower arms

Yea, the shower arm is bronze, part of a kit so I'd have to special order a longer arm. I'll see if the brass connector will work.
Thanks
