I'm trying to remove a single handed tub faucet. I removed the cap and screw, but the handle won't come off -

I've tried prying it with a flat head screwdriver and a pry bar, but this is as far as it will come -

I did notice when I took the screw out, the underside of the head looked to have some calcium -

I'm spraying some CLR on the exposed parts and next will use some silicone.

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

Thnx.

From the looks of your pictures you should be able to use a faucet handle puller tool. It is a basic plumbing tool which should be available at any store that sells plumbing tools. I used one today and I am always amazed by how easy they usually pull off the handle. Always of course after not being able to budge the handle without the tool.
