That new valve should not be that hard to take apart, I could have a locktite on it.

Some of it needs heat to loosen, but not sure what you have.

The pros should be by to lend you a hand soon.

Good Luck, You can do it.

It looks like you have a solid faucet intended to be threaded into a 3/4" fitting.

It just so happens a 1/2" copper pipe will fit inside the threaded part and can be soldered there perfectly.

The 1/2" copper does not "just happen to fit inside the threaded part", it was manufactured that way INTENTIONALLY. But it is the way low bidders will do it so they can save the cost of a female adapter. It is ONLY threaded on the outside, otherwise the copper could NOT be soldered in to it. It LOOKS like a Nibco #75 valve, but since you do not show the label inside the handle that is only a guess, because there are imports which LOOK the same, but are not interchangeable. IF it is an import, then finding a replacement which will interchange may not be possible.

But, you didn't tighten the new ones as tight as they were on the valves ,either. they were a metal to metal seal, which is why they were so tight.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
