I am installing a new pedestal sink and toilet in our guest bathroom.

I ordered the kohler chrome angle supplies listed as compatible with the sink and toilet on the vendor's website.

Unfortunately, I neglected to note that there were 3/8 and 1/2 inch versions available. (and I'm only assuming they all come in alternate sizes, haven't been able to track down a p/n for the toilet supply in 1/2 yet) Of course, when I went to attach the stops, I realized they weren't going to work.

Any foul in simply using 3/8 to 1/2 reducers to make 'em all fit?

You could use the reducer but it will look kinda goofy and stick out.

Did you put the valve exactly where the Kohler sheet specified? Otherwise it is not going to work anyway, because the riser pipe is not flexible.
