Thread: Taking Water Supply to new heights?

Default Taking Water Supply to new heights?

    I'm planning a bathroom.

Is there a code restriction on how high/low in a wall you can run the water supply lines horizontally? I want to run them at 12" above the floor through the 2x4 studs framing the wall. The electrical wires run at 24" above the ground.

For that matter, is there a restriction on the electrical wiring heights?

You can run them where ever your heart desires, just be sure it is not in an area that will freeze. Freezing will not affect the wiring unless it gets at or near absolute 0.
