Had well water expansion tank replaced since then are water system has started to stain the tub and toilet. Had sytem mineral bed changed hot water is causing the stains and slight smell of iron is noticeable also on clothes and skin any ideas how to correct this problem? What kind of tank has been installed? Some of the off-brands are not lined and will rust rather quickly. Any iron/galvanized pipe in the water system can introduce iron, as well as iron in the water supply itself.
You would need to have the water tested to see if it is iron coming from the well.
