I have a cabin with no city water available and wells in the area are not very successful. I have had a 1600 gallon cistern buried next to the cabin about 20 feet away. I don't know what I need to do to plumb and wire a cistern. I do have power to the cabin. Can you guys help with some directions and sketches? Are there any websites that have documented the process? I have not had much success searching the internet.

Thanks

You just need a shallow well pump and set up the same way as if it was a shallow well. Where does the water come from? Are you going to drink it?

For now the water will be hauled in. Maybe later we will try to catch rainwater and purify it. It will be for drinking and cooking, everything. It is a new concrete cistern.
