Our well pump runs fine most of the time, but at least once a day, everyday, it just shuts off. We turn water on and it runs for a few seconds then the pump just shuts off, after a few minutes it comes back on. Most times it shuts right back off at least once, then will come back on. Its never at the same time or happens the same amount of times. Can you help us figure out the problem please and thank you

Take the cover off the pressure switch and see if the points are touching or not when the pump shuts off. It could just be the little tube going to the pressure switch is clogged.

But if the points stay touching or closed and the pump still shuts off, the overload in the motor maybe tripping. The overload will usually reset itself and restart the pump after it cools down a bit.

Check the air pressure in the tank. No air means rapid cycling which will trip the overload.
