I posted a few weeks ago but no one responded. Im really hoping someone can help before I make my final purchase. I need to replace my plastic bathtub made by AquaGlass (polystyrene material) that can't be fixed. Im limited to 60 x 30. My choices are 1) Kohler bellwether cast 2) Kohler archer acrylic 3) Americast (I forget the style). I read some bad reviews about Americast chipping easy so not sure about that. My other issue with the cast & Americast is the no-slip bottom. Heard they are horrible to clean & always look dirty. The Kohler website recommends a $50 cleaner for the bottom. I dont want that either. So Im leaning towards the Kohler archer acrylic. I was told by a repair company that acrylic can always be fixed easy...even if for some reason a hole was put in it. They said cast & Americast usually needs very extensive repairs if chipped. Do the acrylic tubs today last long? I dont want to have to replace it in 10-15 yrs. Any opinions ?
