It is about time.

They offered me money to setup on my property, I said no way.

After hearing their blast from other places where they got permission, My well water started smelling funny.

And I ended up with a cracked foundation. So did a lot of people in my area.

Go to Solar and wind power.

They do use salt water in this area when they get nothing.

Then you end up with saltwater in your water well.

I've never understood why somebody can own the oil or water under your home?

In Alaska, a portion of the money from oil goes to Alaskans.
My brother James Love was on the Alaska Investment Advisory Board to help make that happen.

His latest acheivement was on the digital front.

When I had a secret clearance I had to go to a class that says that I could not tell what I know, even to my wife.

My Girl friend loved it. lol, not really just playing.

They just need a scapegoat to cover their ass.

It does become an issue he said. People with pockets aren't always happy when someone is looking out for the rest of us.

In Alaska he was getting death threats. That was in the 70's
When he got finished with that little project, the people there got together to send him to Harvard in appreciation.

My son got caught hacking a school computer, and they drudge me under the carpet and wanted to know were he learned that stuff.

I did teach him a bit, but I said the internet. They wanted to blame me.

He is a good boy and never meant to harm anyone.

He was just showing them that their network was not secure.

I stood behind him 100 %.

After a few days of probation he got a job at the school working in IT.

I was proud of him.

My son Taylor enjoys working on servers and IT. I picture him doing that in the future in a bigger way. He's enrolled at the University of Washington this Fall.
He did one year at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.

I love the anti-spammer software he wrote for me to check on new users. It saves me all kinds of time.

Back in the day, before firewalls, all you needed was a Comadore 64 and a 300 baud modem.

Back to the original topic.

Texas did not have earthquakes until they started fracking.

I do not think that technology is good for the earth.

I have seen what it did here, but have no way to prove that they screwed up our water supply, but I think that it did.

I would like to sell my land and let them have at it.

But I have more respect for my neighbors than they do.

It doesn't make much sense to me what they are doing.

Every science article I read talks about the growing water shortage in the center of the United States.
We've been drawing down the water table in the farmlands, and they know it won't be replenished in our lifetime.

Today some 18 countries, containing half the world's people, are overpumping their aquifers. Among these are the big three grain producers – China, India and the US – and several other populous countries, including Iran, Pakistan and Mexico.

I can't understand putting hydrocarbons ahead of water (aside from cultural inertia and greed). There are alternatives to hydrocarbons. Water, not so much.

I would think the opposite would be true. Around here they do fracking to revitalize water wells. Often poor producing water wells will increase their gpm output enough to make it worthwhile. It has always been controversial but when there is no water some people have to try. I wish they could come up with a different name to differentiate between gas wells and water well fracking. Maybe the gas well frackers need to help the water well frackers and change some minds.

I know that's weird. I own the mineral rights to like 1/7 of an acre in OK due to my great great grandfather getting 80 acres during the land rush. Then during the depression one of the famitly sold most of the land and kept all the rights. I don't know why that's possible apart from it was probably due to natural resource company's like mining and drilling that found it more economical to just buy access to the under ground then have to buy it out right but that's just a guess.

The way they drill now a days they can drill under your property and you may never know it.

They need better regulation to make sure the company knows what they are doing.

Most are just stabbing around in the dark.

There's a huge difference in hydrofracking to improve water yield in a water well and the kind of fracking they do for gas and oil production.
