1 1/2" Bathroom Sink Drain

Is there any benefits on using a larger sink drain "1 1/2" for the bathroom sink......obviously on the inlet, there is a 1 1/2-1 1/14 nut on it.

It's always the sink stopper/drain that is the culprit on slowing down the flow

I don't know where you would find a 1 1/2" lavatory drain, unless it was a special order. But, there would be no benefit, since the annular opening under the stopper is a lot smaller than the 1 1/4" tubing.
