Our washer and dishwasher back up into the kitchen sink whenever we use them and we can never use them at the same time.
It use to be worse and back up in all of the toilets sinks and tubs. We snaked the main drain when it started backing up everywhere immediately . It fixed most of the problems but we still cannot get the washer and dishwasher to drain properly.

The house is OLD we have a freaking terracotta main drain pipe and I dont know if that might be part of the problem, but I am at my wits end. I cannot afford a plummer so any help you can give would be a blessing.

Agree with Terry's idea of trying Bio-Clean. It doesn't work right away (may take a week or two of use) but really works well and safe. I get mine from Terry's web site. It is a better product than the stuff which sounds similar at the big box stores. It's especially good for old houses (which means a lot of years for "stuff" to build up on the insides of pipes).

Make sure you follow the directions - start with lowest level of the house and work your way up.
