Hey All,

I have a American Standard toilet.
I have had it for about 8 years.
The flushing mechanism broke, so I got a new and improved American Standard
toilet flushing mechanism. Got it direct from American Standard.

Installed the new valve.
Now, it does not flush completely.

It will flush fine with the back cover off the toilet tank.
But, when I put the cover back on, it flushes poorly.
I think the cover is creating some kind of vacuum.

Anyone have any ideas!

Are you sure that you don't have too much slack in your chain and the handle lever is hitting the lid when it's installed?

Hey Bill,
Yep, you are right!
The handle lever was hitting the top!
Rebent the handle wire and shortened the chain.
Works now!

thanks!
