So I ordered a discharge hose. Goodyear Branded. The hose itself is made by GoodYear . Hose is marked and stamped made in the US but the fitting ends show it was made in PRC. So I do a test, just to make sure the threading is the correct one. On the female end, it is brass but the male end is alum. The minute I thread it....it felt off as if I had cross threaded it. Nope. On 2 of the threads, a piece of metal just came right off.

I've seen posts on offshore *bunk* and never did quite ~get it~. After seeing it myself, I get it....

This is awkward, but...
