Default tub drain thru joist layout

    Everyone,

Due to windows I have to drill a 2" drain hole thru the middle of a 2x12 joist to set my tub drain. Before I do, is it okay to run the drain at a 90 degree angle ( long sweep ) on the arm for the p-trap before heading to the vertical vent/waste? It's less than 2 feet each way. See pic...

    Thanks for the advice!

    Default

    A 1.5" trap arm can be 42"
    A 2.0" trap arm can be 60"

You are allowed the 90 bend.
