they are ususlly in "tight" places so as long as the handle gives enough leverage the shorter the better. And a "standard" ball valve CANNOT be used on gas, to pass an inspection, unless it also has an AGA stamping/certification.

While you can use a regular *standard* handle ball valve with gas, why are ~gas valves~ generally have a short handle style ?
