Greetings: I am new to being responsible for winterizing the outside of my home for winter. I have an outside faucet with a shutoff faucet on the inside of the crawlspace. I shut off this inside faucet as tight as possible and openned up the outside faucet, in order to drain out any remaining water.

Problem: there is a still a steady fast drip of water coming out of the outside faucet.

I need to be able to fix this myself as I do not have the means to hire a plumber.

Any ideas what might be wrong with the inside shut off faucet?

Thank you,
Kate
