Don't use a topical waterproofer with a vapor barrier behind the sheet goods...one or the other, not both.

Your install is no different than a tub install.

Green EBoard Shower Update

A couple years back we got a bad batch of GreenEBoard.

Was not very happy with what I found.

I later stumbled upon WonderBoard Lite - it is now my goto backer board.

Help. My tub is existing and not centered, I would like the hardee board to go over the tub flange but I would have to shim it out about 1/2 inch on one side on each end for it to be level, should I use wood or plastic shims, or does it matter?
