How do I remove flange on shower valve

Flange seems to be stuck. I don't want to damage the valve. What do I do? Let me know if picture did not show.

On the hot side, you still have part of your Price Pfister "Marquis" handle stuck on the stem. That needs to be pulled off. You want to take it off, not break it off, and may need a handle puller to do so. When it has been removed, the flange below unscrews counter-clockwise.
