The kids loved the birds at the park.
They will land right on your hand.

Tolmie Peak Lookout - Eunice Lake at Mount Rainier National Park
Chlore, Kaitlyn and Terry at the Tolmie Peak Lookout above Eunice Lake in Mt Rainier National Park.
You can see Tolmie Peak Lookout on the ridge above the lake here.
The view on the way to the lookout. Above the mountain and to the left a bit is a half moon.
I couldn't fit the lake and the mountain in the picture here. The mountain is looming above in the background. If you look closely near the center of the photo, you can see Mowich Lake as just a sliver between the trees and up closer to where things start getting taller. There is a walk-in campground at the end of Mowich Lake, with a trail along the near side of the lake. Round Trip is 7.5 Miles with 1,100 feet of gain. The high point is 5,900 feet. The trail head is at Mowich Lake in Mt Rainier National Park. Entry into the park is $15.00 per car.

If you have water, then you have wading.
A good way to cool down is getting the hair wet.
Sun basking at 5,000 plus feet.
Enjoying the quiet for a moment. Wait.........this isn't quiet at all.

Having National Parks is a very unusual move for countries. The US has land set aside for public use; unlike Europe which is privately owned. Here we can take the family and enjoy beauty and quiet.
Guess why I love Washington State. Beautiful scenery and beautiful kids. Love Mt. Rainier.
