When we bought our house in 1970, the Moen single handle kitchen faucet had an adjustment procedure that reduced the 'end play' or 'slack' in the faucet handle motion. We remodeled in 2010 and I first thought that the developing slack in the handles on our Metris lavatory faucets were simply the result of a failure to tighten the handle properly. I tightened one recently and there is still slack. Is there an adjustment procedure that will minimize the slack?

Thanks,
