Mystery bathtub fixture

This one has me beat. It's about 5 years old and the hot water side is dripping. Can anyone identify it by manufacturer?
It's down in Costa Rica, so getting the right cartridge the first time is more important than usual.

It might just be a washer verses a cartridge.

There are so many manufacturers who make faucets that look like that it would be impossible to name it without seeing the actual stem.

In a RARE show of forethought I actually took this photo of the cartridge beside a tape measure. The stem is longer than any typical replacement I have seen.
