Sewage pump

when you install a sewage pump in the plastic tank do you need to put some thing under the pump so the legs don't make a hole in the bottom of the tank

I've never seen anyone put anything under the pump before.

because of where I live if the pump makes a hole in the bottom of the tank it would pump ground water then(in the spring) and fill my septic full of water
