Hi Terry,

We have a problem with a newly constructed bathroom on our first floor. We have a "curb" which extends 5.5 inches out from the wall (note that curb is also 8 inches high). Our plumber put a 12 inch rough in from the edge of the curb, not the wall itself. If we get a 12 inch rough in toilet, we are 5.5 inches from the wall. We could do a 10 inch, but we are still 3.5 inches away. The bathroom concrete is set and floors are tiled. Do we have any options? Thanks for any advice!

One thing I can tell you is that your logic is wrong: a 10 inch rough-in toilet is going to give you more space between the finished wall and the back of your tank, not less, when mounted on the 12 inch rough-in you describe.
