Purchased a camp four years ago. It has a BF03S pump have no idea how old system is. This year had trouble building pressure. Have a high iron content in the water and silt. Decided to start by replacing the point. Hit water at 8 ft and have a total of 18 ft of pipe. That gives me 10 ft of water if my math is not off.
Still no water, this weekend installed a new pump same model.
Now here is the problem
Getting water and pumps shuts off at 40 psi and starts at 20 psi but very slow to recover once you close the faucet.
On the top of the point I reduced from 1 1/4 to 1 inch and using a 90deg plastic into 1 in black plastic pipe.
I noticed at the elbow while pump is running that I am getting bubbles. Is that normal.
Have no leaks around the pump suction or discharge.
Just no sure about top of point and those bubbles.

Bubbles are not good. Is the sand point included in that 18 feet? If so, the cone of depression might be biting you. If not, you have a leak in the downpipe.
