Default Price Pfister - Single Push/Pull Shower stem valve

    Hello,

Does anyone know the process or instructions to remove this item.

I believe it is an Avante model from price pfister.

I do not want to cause damage to piping behind the tile wall surface.

Do I need to remove any clips.Name: price_1.jpg

That outer ring is the retainer. It needs to be unscrewed. You have a lot of deposits, so you will need to soak with vinegar and proceed carefully.

Unscrew the cap. Put the screw back into the stem. Then grab it with a pair of pliers, push the stem in and they YANK it out hard and quick. You will probably have to repeat the "push/pull" a few times but it will come out.

Do you use vinegar for soaking the stem portion.

Then use something else for the threads.

People are paying me for my time, so I do NOT soak anything in vinegar or anything else. Remove the cap, pull the cartridge, put in the new one, and make out the bill.
