We just bought a new home that came with a Taco hot water circulator pump which is great. We brought our Kinetico 60 system (12 years old) from our old house with us. There is no Kinetico dealer near our new town so a local plumber installed it. It runs/regenerates constantly, 24/7 which it never did before. There are only 2 of us in the house so it shouldn't be a problem. No one in this town seems comfortable working on the softener and we are wondering if 1) is it compatible with a Taco pump 2) could it have been damaged in the move or 3) just time for a new one. We are not handy and Kinetico will come down for $175/hour! Already paid $130 to have it disconnected before move and $250 to have it installed so not wanting to throw good money after bad. Suggestions?
