    Default GFI adding WH

    Can I plug a 110 water heater into a GFI protected outlet, or will it trip everytime it cycles?

    You can if you dont exceed the amperage of the outlet and wire. It should have its own circuit. A dedicated outlet/circuit for that water heater only.
