You might want to post a picture of your " posts behind the main wires coming in" and your "nodes". http://www.pumpvendor.com/Sta-Rite_MSE-7.html
i have a Star Rite MSE 7 HP1, any way it went out and i am knowledgable to repair it myself but do not know whats wrong. i checked to see if the breaker flipped, nope, i looked at the posts behind the main wires coming in, when i push the nodes in it fires right up. what am i needing to replace to fix it. if you have any helpful info please let me know firstname.lastname@example.org if you can't reach me here.
I assume the "nodes" would be the contacts on the pressure switch which if you have to push the contacts in manually means that either the pressure switch is bad (probably not) or the tube or pipe it is attached to or the inlet to the pressure switch itself is plugged with something and needs to be cleaned out.
